This one's for you Lauri...

So last Sunday Lauri had us all over for a wonderful dinner and during our chatting time, blogging came up and I got a little chastisement...okay we'll call it an encouragement...to blog more often. So this one's for you Lauri!! :)

A lot has happened since my last post. The semester is halfway over, yet i still have at least 2 exams in each of my classes left. I love how they seem to cram more in the end that at the beginning. My first round of tests turned out pretty well seeing as I had to take 4 in 3 days! Holy smokes that was terrible. But it stretched me and I came out on top. I feel like I can handle more and more with each semester.

Last week was spring break. As such, I decided to make a fun spring purse/ bag...whatever you want to call it. I'm happy with the way it turned out. :) I also got to workout with a good friend of mine that I haven't seen in at least a year! That was a lot of fun!

The beginning of spring break also brought miss Dawnee Ray Godfrey down from Utah for her younger sister's wedding and reception. I loved seeing her for a little while! I wish she lived closer :(

After the reception, Brooke had a velcro wall at her house. How could we pass up that opportunity?? As such, Trev and I headed over and had some fun!

As if this post is not jumbled enough with random happenings in attempt to cover all that i've missed (ha! like that's even possible), here's another fun time... Trevor and I went hiking up Camelback yesterday after work and school. We had a blast! It felt so so good to get out and do something active ...and the company wasn't half bad either ;) We were just taking goofy pictures so here they are...

Thanks Ashley. Love your purse. I've been itching to do a project like that but am not sure where or how to begin. I'll have to take a closer look at yours.

Sounds like you're keeping busy and having fun. Love to hear about your fun life.

hey Ashley!
I use Photoshop CS4. It's a bit pricey but goodness it can do EVERYTHING. :) I love it. For inspiration I go to www.scrapbook.com>gallery>digital layouts>favorites. It's a blast. :) I'd love to find other people who are into it to bounce ideas off of. :)
I have a few favorite sites I use. www.shabbyprincess.com (click on downloads) has tons of free papers/embellishments/alphabets etc. it's fantastic. :) They are also good to use when you're first starting out because they give them to you in "Collections" that help you see what goes together well. When you get more comfortable with it all, pull stuff from different collections and go crazy! :) Another site I use for inspiration is www.scrapbook.com click on gallery>digital layouts>favorites These are pages other people have filtered through and marked as their favorite. There's some AWESOME stuff there, and if you want to figure out how to do something, just ask. They're pretty good about getting back to you with what they did. Scrapbook.com also has a newsletter you can sign up for that gives you something free every week. (papers/embellishments/etc.) I have NEVER paid for anything for digital scrapbooking. The site I use for fonts is www.1001freefonts.com. It's fantastic. It might take you a bit to figure out how to install this on your computer, but it's worth it. :) The last thing I would mention is www.brusheezy.com It has photoshop brushes with everything you can imagine and can really make some cute touches on your page. I don't know how familiar with photoshop you are, but brushes will change your life. :) if you have a hard time installing them (they took me forever to figure out) let me know and I'll fill you in.
last but definitely not least--> www.scrapbooksetc.com>free collage templates. How to make super cute multi picture layouts in pretty much no time at all. :) worth a look for sure! hope this helped! if you end up creating an account on scrapbook.com let me know! my sn is ssstoked34
